I’ve learned over time (and doing my own research obviously) that sleep is so much more than just getting the 8-9 hours of sleep. While yes, getting lots of sleep is incredibly important, what matters more is staying consistent in when you fall asleep and when you wake up because it helps keep your body’s internal clock (circadian rhythm) synchronized. A healthy circadian rhythm supports better sleep quality, hormone regulation, physical recovery, cognitive performance, and overall health. Pretty neat stuff, even if it’s kind of obvious.
hi, I’ve been lifting for a long time and I’m pretty happy with how I look. I’m very muscular, but I wanna lean down more and lose that little bit of “fluff”. As mentioned i’m already pretty muscular but how can i lean down even more? i don’t really want to track calories or anything but should I increase my cardio? Specifically want to lose a little bit of fluff on my legs and stomach.
I’ve been trying to hit 150 to 170 g of protein a day and really struggle with it, especially while trying to stay in a calorie deficit. Does anyone have any low calorie high protein suggestions or quick easy ways to get protein in?
Recently got hit with a nasty sinus infection. I went to urgent care and they told me to try Zinc gluconate and echinacea tea before taking my antibiotics. Haven't seemed to noticed a difference and I'm on day 2. The doctor told me to drink 4-6 cups of this tea a day and honestly I can barely do 2. Have these actually worked for anyone and what will actually work or should I just take the antibiotic?
On Monday morning I removed a deer tick. I’ve had Lyme disease three different times, and each time the symptoms have settled into my joints—especially my hands and fingers. It’s a reminder that having Lyme once doesn’t provide reliable immunity, so every tick bite should be taken seriously.
Because I caught this one early, my doctor prescribed the recommended single preventive dose of doxycycline. I’m grateful I only had to take one dose, as doxycycline has always been a difficult medication for me. It causes significant stomach upset and makes me extremely sensitive to the sun.
Now I’m hoping that one dose is enough to prevent another round of Lyme disease. If you’ve been bitten by a deer tick, don’t ignore it. Remove it promptly, monitor yourself closely for symptoms, and talk with your healthcare provider about whether preventive treatment is appropriate for you.
Here’s hoping this was caught in time.
I do standing quad stretches before the ride, I don't believe hydration is an issue, but every now and then I get cramps while I'm leaned over around 45 degrees. It's mitigated when I sit straight up and massage it for a few seconds even while continuing to pedal. It happens on low- and high-intensity rides.
I recently tried the Aztec Clay Mask on my legs to treat strawberry legs and texture after shaving and saw amazing results after one use. I’m definitely gonna keep using this and thought someone might appreciate it too. It’s such a little detail but has brought me a lot more confidence with the appearance of my legs.
Looking for a face sunscreen that won’t break me out. I’ve never had an issue with acne luckily but I’ve been using this and getting some recently which is pretty annoying. I’m trying to prevent sun damage on my face and just protect it so does anyone have any recommendations for a different one?
Ok hear me out on this one: jump rope. I’ve been jump roping 2-3x a week (usually after a lift or walk) and the benefits are AMAZING. I have so much more definition, look less bloated, and it’s made me look like I actually work out lol. Give it a shot—best $5 spent on amazon. Also great lymphatic drainage and seems to even have an effect on my face kinda like a gua sha.
I finally gave up nicotine after using it through my college years plus past them. I was a total fein for vapes, zyns, you name it. It got so bad I was the kind to have it under my pillow at night and start crashing if it disappeared. Then I moved to cigarettes. The switch was intentional as I hated the smell of them but liked the buzz. I stopped all vaping and zyns and strictly allowed myself a cigarette when I felt the cravings roll in (and yes I tried to use the quitting nicotine mints/pouches previously which didn’t work). I hated the smell on my hair and clothes and I definitely didn’t want it to linger in my house or around my cat so eventually I just stopped smoking all together. Now i’m not saying to switch to cigarettes if you vape in order to quit, but it worked for me. I will say if friends have cigs around me I do smoke one or two but I no longer own them and would consider “quitting” to be pretty successful. Also when I tried to quit vaping w/o them I was constantly anxiou
I’ve been working out for 2ish years, I do cardio 4x a week, and I eat generally pretty clean and am still struggling with stubborn belly fat. I was curious if anyone had any life changing tip on how they finally got their abs to really pop. I’m open to workouts, nutrition, lifestyle, supplements, etc
I just started red light therapy this week (I’m trying to do full body sessions for 10 minutes 5x a week). I was curious if anyone has been consistent with it and seen any results or if I’m wasting my time? Also how long did it take before you saw x,y,z results?
i’m really sensitive to gluten and i bloat so bad my stomach feels like a rock can someone help me. also every supplement i’ve taken doesnt work so far i tried peppermint oil and apple cider vinegar
Was skeptical about this one but man does it work! Look up fascia release on YouTube and it will make a difference in your life. Also seems to help with stress and tension as I feel 10lbs lifted off of my chest after rolling out. Also targeting the hips seems to make the biggest difference for me.
