Lime water for vitamin C benefit

I probably should get sick more often. I’m around hundreds of students and staff all year, and between teaching by day and running a business by night, life stays pretty busy. For years I thought my hack would be eating a couple of apples every day. Now I’m wondering if it’s something else: maybe lick? Or maybe lime water. My uncle was a cancer researcher at Ohio State, and I remember him saying it was important to include limes in your diet. This year I started drinking at least 64 ounces of water a day with two limes cut into wedges. I make a bottle before bed, keep it by my nightstand, and make sure it’s the first thing I drink in the morning. Maybe it's coincidence, but I might have to give some credit to the lime water.
