Inflammation from lifting

I have been lifting weights for about a year now and I feel like sometimes I just look puffy and inflamed especially in my legs. Am I doing something wrong?

same--just completely stopped hitting legs in the gym. I do reformer pilates now, walk 10k steps at least everyday and train upper body only with heavier weights. Unless you're really set on having a specific lower body from lifting, I would try this out. Don't get me wrong I miss having my glute days but I overall just look so much better and less inflamed now.
